Fuji Taisekiji,
The orthodoxy of Buppo
We must wait for the time to come.
Nichiren Daishonin Buddha is the root of the millions of Buddhas in the universe.
He is the true Buddha that will save all mankind with the Three Great Secret Laws:
1. Honmon no Daimoku – Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo
2. Honmon no Honzon – The Kaidan no Dai Gohonzon
3. Honmon no Kaidan – Kokuritsu Kaidan (the ordination platform that will be built at the time of Kosenrufu)
Before Nichiren Daishonin Buddha died, many of his disciples, he chose Nikko Shonin as the chief of the temple and entrusted the Three Great Secret Laws and completion of Honmon no Kaidan (Kokuritsu Kaidan) to him. Nikko Shonin was chosen as the sole successor. This is evident in the following letter (Ichigo Guhofuzoku-sho):
“When the sovereign emperor accepts this law, Honmon no Kaidan must be established at Mt. Fuji.
We must wait for the time to come.
This is the true law of precept and above all, my disciples must obey this document.”
In 1290, Nikko Shonin built the main temple in Mt.Fuji. This is the temple of the orthodox Buppo Fuji Taisekiji. This is the world’s only orthodox Buppo temple.

For over 700 years, it has been a long-cherished ambition and purpose of the Fuji Taisekiji to build The Kokuritsu Kaidan and complete the Daishonin’s testament.
This has been passed down to the 3rd high priest Nichimoku Shonin, and then the 4th high priest Nichido Shonin as if water was transferred from one vessel to another until the 65th high priest Nichijun Shonin received it.
(pictured right: Nichijun Shonin)
Fuji Taisekiji school has about 500 branch temples. The name of the religious organization that encompasses it is called “Nichiren Shoshu”.
Kenshokai was a member of Nichiren Shoshu and so was Soka Gakkai (SGI). Soka Gakkai (SGI) was also aiming to build The Kokuritsu Kaidan. According to its 3rd President, Daisaku Ikeda’s speech below:
“Construction of The Kokuritsu Kaidan is our Nichiren Shoshu’s long-cherished ambition for over 670 odd-years and the only purpose of Soka Gakkai.”
(Dai Byakurennge No. 59)

Against the Daishonin’s Testament
However, Daisaku Ikeda established a political party called “Komeito” and joined the ruling government coalition. He denied Soka Gakkai’s purpose (completion of The Kokuritsu Kaidan.) He was afraid of being criticized for the constitutional breach because of a questionnaire that was submitted from the Communist Party to the chairman of the House of Representatives that stated: “The Kokuritsu Kaidan violates the constitution”.
In order to implement the deletion of The Kokuritsu Kaidan from Nichiren Daishonin’s testament, Daisaku Ikeda constructed a building named “Shohondo” in Mt.Fuji and declared that Daishonin’s last piece of his testament had been completed (1972).
This action was fraudulent and went against Daishonin’s testament. It’s inexcusable!
Sadly, the virtuous priests of Nichiren Shoshu orthodox who should have stopped this, sold their soul for Daisaku Ikeda’s money and power and teamed up with him to remove The Kokuritsu Kaidan from Nichiren Daishonin’s doctrine.
Nichiren Daishonin Buddha did not allow this deceptive act.
Observing the rebellious acts of Soka Gakkai and Nichiren Shoshu orthodox against Nichiren Daishonin, Shoei Asai, a president of Kenshokai stood up and kept demonstrating against them. They fought for the integrity of the Daishonin’s testament.
Soka Gakkai was in constant fear that the scandal would come to light so they agitated the orthodox high priests (66th & 67th) and ordered the dissolution of the Kenshokai for “asserting justification of The Kokuritsu Kaidan.”
(August 12, 1974)

Shortly thereafter Soka Gakkai and orthodox were split up, and a violent conflict occurred.
As a result, the Shohondo, the building that was constructed by the two parties, to be Nichiren Daishonin Buddha’s testament, collapsed in July 1998.
The Daishonin did not allow this false building to stand!

Commitment.
Even after this irrational act, Kenshokai still stands strong, declaring to complete Nichiren Daishonin’s testament (The Kokuritsu Kaidan.) In Japan today, there is no other organization other than the Fuji Taisekiji Kenshokai that is dedicated to the testament of Nichiren Daishonin and following in the footsteps of the 2nd High Priest Nikko Shonin and the 3rd High Priest Nichimoku Shonin.
