Unbreakable Happiness

The only medicine that brings Unbreakable Happiness

Terminal Cancer “My days are numbered” -Part 2

I joined Kenshokai in June 2018.
I’ll never forget the speech I made in front of Asai sensei at the monthly meeting last September.
As I learned that Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo is the name of Nichinren Daishonin, I came to the realization that my chanting definitely connects with the Daishonin and was shown many signs.

Before I joined Kenshokai, I had (herpes zoster) Shingles, breast cancer, acute myeloid leukemia, malignant lymphoma. I had no hope.
I was told that I would not live until the end of year. After being informed about my shortened life expectancy, I was overwhelmed with hopelessness.
I was exhausted physically and mentally.

Then I met Ms. Fujino from Kenshokai and was taught how to chant the true Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo. Since then I was shown the protection and love from Nichinre Daishonin Buddha.

As I mentioned in my previous speech, I was told that I wouldn’t survive to the end of year.  After I chanted Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo with Kenshokai, I was surprised that my attachment to life disappeared. Nichinren Daishonin Buddha said he will be meeting us on our deathbed, so I had no fear at all.

I started cleaning up my belongings and was planning to purchase an urn for my ashes.

In October, there was blood in my urine and tests revealed that malignant lymphoma had spread to my kidneys.
The doctor advised me to be hospitalized and operated on, but I decided to use all the remaining time for Nichiren Daishonin Buddha.

“No hospitalization or surgery” I said to my doctor.

The doctor said “I cannot promise you that the cancer drug treatment will be effective.”

During the two weeks of treatment, I wanted to do what I could to achieve Buddhahood, so I made time for Shakubuku – sharing Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo with others.

I lost my sense of taste, but there were no side effects of nausea or hair loss, and I was able to live the same life as before. Strangely enough, the fear of dying and the attachment to life disappeared.

Two weeks later, a CT scan showed that the tumor had become smaller and there was no need to go to the hospital!
Even more surprising, the doctor who saw the results of the bone marrow examination in November said:
“This is so strange! Why is this happening? Your body has returned to normal! This is unbelievable!! .”
The doctor couldn’t control his excitement! He cancelled the report on my life expectancy! He said: That’s it! You’re free to go!”

I couldn’t believe the doctor’s words, “You’re free to go!” and for a moment I didn’t believe what I was hearing.
I was so moved by the Daishonin’s great mercy that I burst into tears.

For the situation that I could have never imagined, I was full of gratitude to Asai sensei for correctly conveying the teachings of the Daishonin.

The other day, my friend called me and said, “My dad is dying”. Her father was a very nice man and took care of me before, so I ran to the hospital with her. When we got there, he was in critical condition and his complexion wasn’t good. I couldn’t stay still so I asked the doctor “Please leave us alone”, he understood and left the room.

For 15 minitues, I chanted Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo to my friend’s dad. Then, I clearly saw that his face became white and his complexion looked better.
The doctor came in and noticed his appearance and asked me “How did you do this?”
I said, “I chanted Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo to him.”  The doctor could hardly believe what just happened.

My friend’s father passed away an hour later.
I was grateful that she allowed me to chant for her dad.  The phenomenon of the prayer was definitely delivered to her father. He achieved enlightenment(Jobutsu). It was more emotional than the sadness. Afterwards, I wanted to go to the prayer hall to show my appreciation by chanting in front of the Gohonzon sama!

I was so impressed to see the proof of Jobutsu, and it showed me that “everything will be fine”.

Last year, I lost sight in my left eye due to the side effects of the cancer drugs. I was advised to get an artificial eye, but I refused.

However, after joining Kenshokai and chanting the true Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo, I began to see a dim light in through my left eye!
I’m grateful that I am being gently lead by Nichiren Daishonin Buddha.

In December of 2018, it was very difficult with one eye, but I read the Buppo book written by Asai sensei in preparation for the Buppo test in January 2019.

I learned about Nichiren Daishonin’s testament, and it will affect all the world’s happiness.

I was given longer to live, and I am determined to devote myself to the realization of the Daishonin’s testament. I want all people to experience the power of the True Buddha, Nichiren Daishonin. Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo!

Thank you,
Eiko
