Ms. Saito’s story
On October 22nd, I collapsed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding inside the brain) and was rushed to the hospital.
I had a terrible headache and was desperately chanting Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo while my consciousness was fading.
I underwent emergency surgery as soon as I arrived.
After the surgery, I regained consciousness immediately, but the doctor gave me medicine and told me to continue resting.
Even under these circumstances, I wanted to chant Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo, so I asked the nurse to tell my family to get my prayer beads and cell phone.
As soon as I received the prayer beads from my husband and began my prayers, the six tubes that were connected to my body were removed one by one!
During my hospitalization, I received more life force each time I participated in the online meetings.
When I told the doctors and nurses how wonderful Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo is, they wanted to join the online meeting with me.
To my surprise, I was discharged from the hospital after only 16 days!
My family and friends were shocked to see me out of the hospital, since they thought I was either dead or paralyzed (which would have left me disabled).
Even though I was in a hospital far away from Gohonzon sama, when I chanted Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo, I immediately connected with Nichiren Daishonin. I was filled with gratitude.
I am in awe at the immense power and virtue of the Gohonzon-sama.
I am grateful to be able to live a normal life right after being discharged from the hospital and today I can participate in an online conference with everyone in the U.S.
I was given a second life!
The protection from the Daishonin that yearning devotion brings forth is beyond anything short of phenomenal!
