True Identity Revealed 9.12.1271
Today marks an important anniversary: September 12, 1271, when Nichiren Daishonin, at the age of 50, sat at the execution site in Tatsunokuchi and was beheaded by the Japanese government.
However, at that very moment, an extraordinary event occurred.
Just as the Daishonin’s head was about to be severed, an extremely bright light resembling a full moon appeared.
It was so intense that the executioner was blinded. He collapsed, and his sword broke into pieces. The soldiers guarding Nichiren Daishonin ran away and the remaining ones fell to the ground.
Thus, the Daishonin revealed his identity as the Original Buddha, KUONGANJO no JIJUYUJIN, enlightened to the truth that his very being is the universe itself.
