Principle leading to KOSENRUFU
At the beginning of the age of Mappo, monks who slander the Original Buddha will fill the entire Earth, arousing the wrath of Shoten; comets will streak across the sky, and the earth will tremble like a giant wave. Countless catastrophic calamities—such as severe droughts, devastating fires, violent floods, fierce storms, deadly epidemics, severe famines, and large-scale warfare—will occur simultaneously.
When the people of the world don armor and take up bows and spears, the various
Buddhas, the Bodhisattvas, and deities will be powerless to help, when all people die and fall into the Avīci Hell like rain. When they believe in the Gohonzon and chant Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo, then sovereigns will save their nations, and the people will escape calamity. Furthermore, they shall escape from the blazing fires of Avici Hell.
