In ancient China, there was a great doctor, named Bian Que. In India, there was a famous doctors, named Jivaka. These great doctors were the treasures of the world at that time and were role models for future generations of doctors.
A man named Buddha is a great doctor. These doctors of China and India cannot compare with the Buddha.
This Buddha is the one who gives us the medicine for everlasting life, the five syllables of Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo. Furthermore, these five characters are called the cure for all diseases of the world.
In the sutras, those who are suffering from illnesses shall become Buddhas. Because illness makes one more pious.
